Australian Business College accepts those qualified applicants who have graduated from high school, have access to a computer and Internet and have sufficient English skills to complete the English-only courses.
Social networking and assisting one another is a big factor in the success of tuition-free universities and colleges online. At Australia Business College peer-based and collaborative learning form part of the overall learning and grading system where students are required to fully participate in discussions and answer questions posed by the faculty and other students in their groups and forums.
Australian Business College does not charge students to take classes, does not charge for any reading and other study materials, as well as does not charge for annual enrollment. Australia Business College provides courses directly to students and also arranges for students entry to courses from external providers. Australia Business College may provide grants and subsidies to assist students meet the costs of external courses and facilitates discounts for students undertaking external courses. Additionally through the Australia business College Partners Program students can earn while they learn.
In order to remain sustainable, Australian business College charge student membership fees, small processing fees for application and examination processing. Student Memberships are available without restriction other than payment of the membership fee. Australia business College has a partnership program which assists students obtain the funds for their student membership and provides ongoing income for each student.
Once a student has a valid student membership they may enroll in various course offered by the Australia business College on payment of a small application fee. Applicants who start their applications after March 7, 2012, are charged a non-refundable onetime $$50 Application Processing Fee to cover the cost for us to review and process an application. The amount charged is based on the applicant’s place of residence – applicants from developing countries will pay a lower amount. Applicants who started their online application prior to March 7, 2011 will be able to continue with their application, will be processed and will not be charged. In the future, we will also start implementing end of course Exam Processing Fees of $80-$100, also determined by the student’s place of residence.
Our aim, as it has always been, is to ensure that no student will be denied the right to access higher education for financial reasons. We will remain tuition-free, meaning students will not be charged for their educational instruction, course materials or annual enrollment.
The determination of processing fees, as well as any University Grants, is at the sole discretion of Australia business College. University and College Grants and processing fees are currently determined using publicly available data from the World Bank and the CIA World Fact Book. Inclusion of a place of residence in the list does not imply any legal position of Australia business College regarding its status. Australia business College reserves the right to change the method of determining Education Grants or processing fees without notice, potentially resulting in additional processing fees or reduced College and University Grants in the future.

Application Processing Fee
Applicants who apply after March 7, 2012, are charged an Application Fee in the range of $30 to $50.
Exam Processing Fee
Australian Business College does not currently charge students an Exam Processing Fee. When introduced, students will pay a sliding scale Exam Processing Fee ranging from $80 to $100.
Australia business College is a tuition-free college. The College is a not-for-profit institution that does not charge students to take classes. Readings and course materials are available online, free of charge for each and every registered student. In the future, Australia business College may require that students pay modest fees for submitting their application and for exam administration. These fees will be based on the standard of living in the student’s country or place of residence.

Australian Business College itself is not yet an accredited institution. However many of the courses it is able to deliver via affiliated institutions are. For instance it is possible to undertake a nationally recognised Cartificate IV Course if you are an Australian Business College registered student. The academic leadership and advisory committee of Australian Business College are comprised of senior academics and graduates from the likes of Sydney University, NYU, Yale, UNSW and Macquarie - which ensures a commitment to provide quality academic programs.
Although Australian Business College is considered part of the innovative idea of tuition-free universities and colleges which currently applies no fees at all, in the future it will need, to ensure self-sustainability, to charge nominal Application and Exam Adminstration fees and Student Membership.
